Inventory audit

At Buttermilk Biscuit, accuracy and consistency are key to running a smooth operation — and that starts with timely inventory management. All managers are required to complete this Inventory Audit every Sunday and Wednesday by the end of shift. Conducting a thorough, efficient, and timely inventory ensures our kitchen runs like butter — smooth, steady, and ready for service.

Failure to complete and submit your inventory audit by the end of your assigned shift will result in a written warning.

Your Core Responsibilities

    • Lead by example through professionalism and positivity.

    • Coach team members daily — don’t just correct; develop.

    • Recognize achievements and celebrate progress.

    • Maintain brand standards for service, quality, and cleanliness.

    • Conduct daily shift walkthroughs and compliance checks.

    • Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing protocols with precision.

  • Train new hires using the Way of the Biscuit process.

    • Track progress through tests, evaluations, and side-by-side mentorship.

    • Promote cross-training and accountability within the team. to turn a hobby into something more.

    • Ensure all staff follow established policies regarding cell phone use, dress code, breaks, food handling, and conduct.

    • Document all disciplinary actions on the Disciplinary & Shift Tracking Log.

    • Approach discipline with fairness, discretion, and consistency.

    • Be visible, approachable, and proactive during service.

    • Address guest concerns immediately with empathy and solutions.

    • Turn mistakes into opportunities to “wow” our guests.

    • Submit shift notes and incident reports at the end of each shift.

    • Communicate clearly with the next manager on duty to ensure seamless transitions.

    • Participate in weekly management meetings and performance reviews.
